About
Feeling joyful and devastated at the same time can be confusing—and for many people in pregnancy and postpartum, it can also be a sign of a perinatal mental health disorder. How am I feeling happy but sad and enraged?! Perinatal Mental Health Disorders is an evidence-informed, trauma‑responsive program that helps you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, name what you’re experiencing, and learn practical ways to get support. Together we’ll break down the most common perinatal mental health disorders (including depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and postpartum psychosis), how they can show up in real life, and what risk and protective factors matter most. You’ll learn how hormones, sleep deprivation, stress, identity shifts, and systemic pressures can impact mental health—and how to tell the difference between “typical” adjustment and symptoms that deserve care.
