Meet Christina Drain
Christina Drain is a maternal and family health consultant, educator, trainer, speaker, and nationally recognized birth equity leader dedicated to transforming how families are supported throughout the perinatal journey. With more than a decade of experience spanning public health, maternal health, child welfare, and community engagement, she works at the intersection of education, systems change, workforce development, and community collaboration to improve outcomes for parents, infants, and families.
As the founder of Queen Mother Birth Services, Christina partners with healthcare systems, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, and community leaders to strengthen maternal and family health through strategic consulting, professional development, curriculum design, and workforce training. Her expertise includes childbirth education, doula workforce development, organizational capacity building, program development, policy consultation, and leadership coaching.
Throughout her career, Christina has successfully designed and led grant-funded maternal health initiatives, cultivated cross-sector partnerships, and managed multidisciplinary teams focused on expanding equitable access to community-based care. She has trained birth professionals across multiple states, educated hundreds of families, and collaborated with organizations to develop sustainable programs that improve maternal and infant health outcomes.
In addition to her consulting work, Christina is a respected conference planner, facilitator, and national presenter. She has planned professional conferences, educational summits, and community learning events that bring together healthcare providers, public health professionals, birth workers, policymakers, and community advocates to advance innovative solutions in maternal and family health. She is frequently invited to present at conferences, universities, professional associations, and leadership forums across the country, where she speaks on topics including birth equity, community engagement, workforce development, trauma-informed care, public health leadership, and strengthening systems of care for families.
Christina also serves on advisory committees, professional boards, and collaborative leadership groups that help shape maternal and child health initiatives, workforce development strategies, and community-informed policy. Her ability to bridge the perspectives of government, healthcare, nonprofit organizations, and families allows her to build partnerships that create meaningful, lasting change.
Christina holds a bachelor's degree in Legal Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with an emphasis in Sociology and a certificate in Gender and Women's Studies. She is a certified childbirth educator, labor doula, lactation educator, and birth advocacy trainer, with certifications through several nationally recognized organizations. Her multidisciplinary background combines public health strategy, adult education, community engagement, and systems leadership to help organizations achieve measurable impact.
